• Where is your hotel located?

The Anchor Hotel is located in Tarbert, Argyll. Please do not confuse us with Tarbert on The Isle of Harris, Tarbet on Loch Lommond or any of the other many Tarberts and Tarbets in Scotland

• Are the hotel facilities accessible?

Our restaurant and bar are accessed via 2 small flights of stairs. All of our bedrooms are on upper floors and are accessed via stairs. We do not have a lift in the hotel.

• Do you have car parking facilities?

The hotel does not have a dedicated car park however there is ample, free, on-street parking immediately outside the hotel.

• Are you pet friendly?

Unfortunately, we do not permit pets in any part of the hotel.

• When can I check in and check out?

Check in time is 15:00 and check out time is 11:00.

• When is your restaurant open?

Breakfast from Monday to Friday is served from 07:30 to 09:30 and from 08:00 to 10:00 on Saturday and Sunday. Dinner reservations can be made from 17:30 to 20:30 from Monday to Sunday.

• Is your restaurant open to non-residents?

Yes, non-residents are welcome for breakfast and dinner

• Does your restaurant cater to children?

Our Seabed Restaurant offers a childrens menu.

• Can we store bicycles at your hotel?

We can provide safe and secure bicycle storage overnight in the rear of our function room.

• How far is the hotel from the ferry terminals?

The ferry service to Portavadie is a 2 minute drive from the hotel. Kennacraig terminal (Islay ferry) is a 10 - 15 minute drive, Claonaig (Arran ferry) is a 20 - 25 minute drive and Tayinloan (Gigha ferry) is a 25 - 30 minute drive.
